About

I am a local of Timaru and have worked in the counselling field for 10 years. Mainly working with those aged from 14 years old and older as we journey through anxiety, depression, relationships and life difficulties.

Listening, hearing and understanding beyond the spoken is something that I value. Understanding the inner conflicts and hurts that have been unable to be spoken or shared in a safe, confidential environment is important and empowering to both client and their world. Unravelling the mix of emotions, senses and awarenesses to return a sense of calm to the whole body and soul. Structured through strengths based, person focused direction while using a mix of therapy styles such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Narrative therapy, my practice supports a variety of life issues.

The main focus of my work has been towards the grief and loss of life. As the coordinator and facilitator of South Canterbury’s Anglican Care Ocean’s Grief and Loss programmes, we offer support groups, for all ages, for those who have had changes in their life through death, separation, movement and estrangement. As part of this we also offer personal insight workshops for our community to explore, discuss and understand life challenges such as loneliness, change, grief, perspective, shame and anxiety.
