Debbie has over 25 years’ experience and training in Counselling, Supervision, Facilitation and Coaching with specific expertise in EAP counselling. Her approach is client centred and solution focused. She has a welcoming, compassionate, non-judgemental style that leaves clients feeling at ease, clearer, and more empowered when they leave. She is comfortable working with clients from a wide range of cultural backgrounds.

Debbie has a wealth of experience in working with clients to address Workplace Issues including conflict, stress, discrimination and bullying; as well as Personal Challenges including change, anxiety, depression, trauma, relationships, self-esteem, health, grief, career development and resilience. She also facilitates in-house corporate workshops in Stress, Resilience and Wellbeing, Career Development, Change, and Leadership Development.

In working with clients, Debbie uses a blend of Appreciative Inquiry, Positive Psychology, Strengths-based counselling, Mindfulness, Acceptance Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT) and Brief Solution-Focused therapies, and draws on Te Whare Tapa Wha wellbeing model.
