My counselling practice calls on Narrative Therapy and Person-Centred counselling practices. Narrative therapy focuses on the positioning the person is the person and the problem is the problem. This positioning opens space for people to be in relationship with the problem rather than having to be in a fight or battle with themselves. Narrative therapy calls on the belief we live our lives through stories, some stories we inherit from family, society, culture etc.  My hope is to research with the client what stories/versions of self are operating in their lives and to co-author the preferred stories they want to be living by.
