I have worked in the counselling field for over 20 years. This includes working as a Registered Drug and Alcohol Practitioner in Kaupapa Maori and mainstream services, Mental Health Support Worker, School Counsellor, Programme Facilitator (men’s and women’s therapeutic groups) and Family Therapist.

I currently work in private practice as an ACC sensitive claims counsellor and EAP counsellor. I have training and experience in a variety of counselling approaches including CBT, DBT, Narrative Therapy , Trauma Processing, Neuro-sequential Model of therapeutics, Relapse Prevention Model and Te Whare Tapa Wha.

I am flexible in my approach depending on the needs of my clients.  I am able to support people to manage a range of life’s challenges including emotional dysregulation, unhelpful thought patterns, relationship issues, addiction issues, depression/ anxiety, trauma , grief / loss and other personal, work and family challenges.
